Big things on the grass

On Saturday, Seattle's Olympic Sculpture Park opened to the public.

Miss Significantly Other and me used my newfound parking perk to park and hop the free bus back up the waterfront to the park for a stroll with 1.7 million of our closest friends who all tried to squeeze into the 9-acre site on the only sunny day so far this winter.

I took some snapshots.

The first is a fish thing with dragonfly fins/wings. I'm pretty sure they didn't pull it out of the bay even though it kinda looks like a rusted-out '68 Cutlass.

The second shot is the fish thing attacking some very small people who happened to be on the grounds and very small at the same time.

The third shot is proof of my preoccupation with the fish thing. Really, though, it was pretty crowded and my choice of subjects was limited by the sun's angle and the rotation of the Earth multiplied by the force co-efficient of Pi to the third minus drag. Okay, that's bullshit but you were buying it, don't lie.

The fouth is the Orange Thing that used to stand in front of a bank in Texas but now stands in front of the banks of Puget Sound. If you look closely, you can see that the waterfront seagulls had a christening ceremony at some earlier point in the week.
